SunLink(TM) Fiber Distributed Data Interface/Dual Attach (FDDI/DX) is a9U VME controller that enables workstation systems to attach to anAmerican National Standards Institute (ANSI) FDDI LAN. The ANSI standarddefines a 100 Mbps token ring network based on fiber optic physicalmedia. SunLink FDDI/DX works on SPARCsystem(TM) products with anavailable VME slot. Any server or deskside workstation that supportsFDDI can act as a router between an Ethernet and an FDDI network throughthe onboard Ethernet port and bundled routing software in SunOS(TM).
